My volunteering

constituency and office volunteer
member of parliament, rob oliphant office

June 2018 - Present, ~350 hours

I have been volunteering at Rob Oliphant's office and at his events since the end of my Grade 10 school year. I was inspired to volunteer for him after learning about the amazing things Rob has done to improve the riding of Don Valley West and Canada. Rob currently is the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and used to chair the Immigration Committee and has led the effort for the decriminalization of doctor-assisted suicide in Canada and legislating against genetic discrimination.

My job as a volunteer includes taking in calls, writing emails, planning policy, assisting at events, canvassing, and more.

The Toronto Public Library Youth Advisory Group (YAG) volunteers attend meetings to discuss the creation, development, and promotion of library programs, collections, publications and spaces for teens.
